New Delhi: Battery recycling startup BatX Energies has secured ₹105 crore in a Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, giving the company a significant boost as it expands in India’s clean energy and circular economy sectors.

The fresh capital will be used to scale its battery recycling operations, enhance its proprietary metal recovery technology, and widen its supply chain network across the country.

Founded in 2020, BatX Energies specializes in recycling lithium-ion batteries and extracting critical minerals such as lithium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese. These materials are vital for electric vehicle (EV) batteries and energy storage systems, helping reduce dependence on imported raw materials while supporting more sustainable production.

As India’s electric mobility market continues to grow, demand for efficient battery recycling solutions is expected to rise sharply. Companies like BatX Energies are becoming increasingly important in building a circular economy by recovering and reusing valuable battery materials while reducing environmental impact.

The latest funding is expected to accelerate BatX Energies’ commercial expansion and strengthen its position in India’s battery recycling and critical minerals ecosystem, in line with the country’s broader clean energy and EV ambitions.
